GARAGE RAMPS

Over time, the grade of the asphalt at the entrance to a garage may settle, creating a large difference in height between the asphalt and the concrete garage floor. Our solution creates a durable, professional looking, almost invisible smooth transition from your driveway to your garage floor. Our process is as follows

The area to be filled is cleaned and if necessary adhesive is applied. If the difference in grade is significant then crushed limestone is used as necessary. The width of the ramp is determined, allowing for proper water drainage. If a straight, even width of material is allowed, then a chalk line is snapped as a guide. Top quality, fine mix cold patch asphalt is laid.

The asphalt is spread evenly utilizing the chalk line as a guide for width, then compacted using special tampers and heavy rollers. Depending on ambient temperature heat may be applied prior to compacting.

Once compacted, the area is cleaned. If the customer is also sealing the driveway then a light mist of sealer is applied to the new ramp to maintain a uniform color with the driveway for years to come.
